[The Defamation of Strickland Banks]

When I first heard Plan B’s top-ten single – as the featured artist – on “End Credits” by Chase & Status, I knew there was something promising about him and that I really had to keep my eyes (and ears!) on this guy [memories H E R E]. Plan B (Ben Drew) has been successful as an actor, with supporting roles in Adulthood and Harry Brown, and he has also directed and starred in his own film The Defamation of Strickland Banks, along with his second studio album of the same name. This album was released in April 2010, and went straight into the UK album chart at #1; I bought it two days ago and we keep listening to it again and again. The first single from the album, entitled “Stay Too Long”, was released on 11 January 2010. It entered the UK Singles Chart on 17 January 2010, where it reached a peak of #9, making it Plan B’s most successful single up to that point.

The second single from the album, entitled “She Said” was released on 28 March 2010. It reached #3 in its first week in the UK Singles Chart on the 4 April 2010. As of 29 March 2010, the single has reached #2 on the UK iTunes Singles Chart and the EP has reached #1 on the UK iTunes Album Chart. The video is great but I love this live performance more:
